Product overview

This ESTONE T001A Toslink cable carries digital optical audio between devices with S/PDIF ports. The six-foot length suits typical living-room layouts for sound bars, AV receivers, game consoles or TVs.

Who it suits

It fits owners of Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD, ADAT or LPCM systems who need a male-to-male fibre link rated CL3 for in-wall runs. Buyers who require longer runs, angled plugs or a different jacket rating should look elsewhere.

Installation notes

The pop-up plug design aligns the fibre cores automatically, so connection is a simple push until the connector seats. The double braided nylon sheath resists kinking, but sharp bends tighter than the cable's natural curve can still fracture the fibre core.

Questions about this item

Which devices need a Toslink (S/PDIF) port to use this cable?

Any source or receiver with a square optical port — soundbars, AV receivers, TVs, game consoles, Blu-ray players, set-top boxes or PC sound cards — will accept the male-to-male plugs.

Will the 6 ft length and CL3 rating let me run it behind drywall alongside older components?

Yes, the CL3 jacket is approved for in-wall routing and the 6 ft span reaches most rack-to-display gaps without signal loss.

How can I confirm the link is passing 5.1 or 7.1 surround after I connect it?

Play a Dolby Digital or DTS test file; the receiver should display the matching format indicator and all channels will be audible.
