ESTONE YPbPr to HDMI Converter

The ESTONE YPbPr to HDMI Converter changes analog component video and stereo audio into a digital HDMI 1.4 signal. It lets older DVD players, set-top boxes and classic game consoles connect to modern televisions, monitors and projectors. The unit is brand new and draws power from an included 5V 1A supply.

Gamers and collectors with legacy hardware

This converter suits owners of original Xbox, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii or similar devices that output component video. It also works with older Blu-ray players and cable boxes. It will not help users who need to send HDMI signals to a component-only display because the conversion is one-way only. Buyers wanting upscaling above 1080P should look at a different class of device.

Check your source and display

Verify that your source device has a 5RCA YPbPr output carrying 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p or 1080i at 50 or 60Hz. Confirm the target screen accepts 480p, 576p, 720p or 1080p at 60Hz over HDMI. Ensure a free mains socket is available for the 5V 1A adapter. The package includes the converter, the power supply and a user manual.

Questions about this item

Which power supply must I already have to run the converter?

The box includes a 5V/1A DC adapter, so no separate power supply is needed.

Will my PS2 component cables at 480i and 576i display correctly through the HDMI 1.4 output?

Yes, the converter accepts 480i/p at 60 Hz and 576i/p at 50 Hz and scales them to 480P, 576P, 720P/60 Hz or 1080P/60 Hz over HDMI 1.4.

How can I confirm the converter is passing 1080p at 60 Hz after I connect it?

Check the TV or monitor info screen; it should report a 1080P/60 Hz signal when the source is set to 1080p output.
