Converts optical, coaxial or USB digital audio to analogue RCA or 3.5 mm output with 192 kHz 24-bit PCM support, volume and bass controls, and a headphone amp rated at 125 mW into 32–600 Ω loads
The Jansicotek OZHL2 converts digital audio from USB, coaxial or Toslink sources into analogue stereo through RCA and 3.5 mm outputs. It is built for listeners who want to connect a PC, console or Blu-ray player to an amplifier or headphones without multi-channel decoding. The unit handles PCM and LPCM streams at sampling rates of 32, 44.1, 48, 96 and 192 kHz with 24-bit depth. A bundled IR remote adds volume and bass control from the listening position.
The converter draws power from a USB cable and fits between a digital source and any analogue amp or powered speakers. It accepts USB audio from a computer, coaxial from a disc player and optical from a TV or game console, then presents line-level stereo on RCA jacks and a headphone output on the 3.5 mm socket. Headphone impedance between 32 and 600 ohms is supported directly. The box does not decode 5.1 channel formats such as Dolby AC3, so the source must be set to PCM or LPCM output before connection.
Under continuous playback the built-in headphone amplifier delivers 125 mW per channel into 32 ohms, keeping drive consistent for long sessions. The volume and bass knobs adjust the analogue stage without digital gain changes, so the signal path remains stable as levels shift. The interference-immunity circuit and no-signal squelch keep the background quiet when playback pauses. Because only stereo PCM is processed, the converter avoids the heat and jitter spikes that multi-channel decoding can introduce during extended use.

No, the converter only accepts PCM or LPCM stereo streams; Dolby AC3 and other 5.1 formats are not compatible and must be set to PCM on the source device.
The box is passively cooled with no fan, draws power from the included USB cable, and runs silently; typical warmth is barely noticeable during all-day use.
Any headphones between 32 and 600 ohms are supported; the built-in amplifier delivers 125 mW per channel into 32 ohms with volume and bass knobs for level control.
