Extends four USB 2.0 ports up to 196 ft over Cat5e/6/6a/7 cable with plug-and-play operation and surge protection
This extender carries USB 2.0 signals up to 196 ft over a single Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a or Cat7 cable. It provides four USB 2.0 ports at the remote end for keyboards, mice, webcams or other peripherals. The transmitter draws power from the host USB port while the receiver uses a lockable 12 V DC adapter. It works with Windows, macOS, Android and Linux without any driver installation.
Each port delivers the full USB 2.0 bandwidth of 480 Mbps, so two webcams can operate simultaneously alongside a keyboard and mouse. The link remains stable at the maximum 196 ft distance, but USB 1.1 devices also work if only low-speed endpoints are needed. Power is supplied on both sides, so the remote hub does not rely on bus power from the host. Surge protection rated at ±8 kV air-gap and ±4 kV contact discharge protects connected gear.
The extender is bound by the USB 2.0 specification, so total throughput cannot exceed 480 Mbps shared across the four ports. Cat5e or better cabling is required to reach the full 196 ft; shorter or lower-grade cables will reduce the reliable range. The system does not support USB 3.0 or higher speeds, and it cannot extend video signals such as HDMI or DisplayPort. Latency added by the conversion is minimal for input devices but may affect time-critical industrial equipment.

Yes, the extender is compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 devices and supports high-speed USB 2.0 up to 480Mbps over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable up to 196 ft.
The system will enumerate connected peripherals at high speed; you can confirm 480Mbps operation in your OS device manager or by testing data throughput with a USB 2.0 storage device.
The receiver ships with a lockable DC 12V power adapter; a Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a or Cat7 cable up to 60m must be purchased separately.
