What this camera is

The Eyemax UIB-B4322 is a new 4MP dome camera built for outdoor surveillance. It uses EX-SDI signalling over a BNC connection and draws power from a DC 12V supply. The fixed 2.8mm lens provides a wide viewing angle suited to general area coverage.

The specification that decides fit

This camera transmits video through an EX-SDI interface on a BNC cable, not over a network. If your recorder or DVR does not accept EX-SDI signals, the camera will not work with your existing cabling or recording hardware.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

Installers who need a simple analog-style camera with 2560×1440 resolution at 30fps and infrared reach up to 60ft will find it matches those requirements. Buyers who want IP networking, Power over Ethernet, or a varifocal lens for adjustable zoom should look at a different product.

Questions about this item

What does the 2560 × 1440p resolution deliver on a live monitor?

It shows a 4-megapixel picture at 30 frames per second over the EX-SDI link, giving sharper detail than 1080p while staying compatible with existing coaxial cabling.

How does the EX-SDI interface limit cable distance and recorder choice?

EX-SDI carries the 4MP signal over standard BNC coax up to typical analogue distances, but the recorder must support EX-SDI; it will not work with plain CVBS, AHD, TVI or CVI inputs.

What mounting hardware and clearance does the 2.8 mm fixed-lens dome need?

The eyeball dome ships as a single unit for wall or ceiling mount; allow enough space for the 2.8 mm lens to achieve its wide field of view and for the 20–25 m IR LEDs to illuminate up to 60 ft without obstruction.
