Converts a single SFF8088 port into four SATA 7pin connections for multi-drive server expansion at 6Gbps

  • Connect up to four drives from one SFF8088 port
  • 6 Gbps bandwidth supports RAID and enterprise storage
  • 28 AWG pure copper with 10 ohm impedance reduces signal loss
  • SATA female connectors allow quick plug-and-play drive swaps
  • 1 metre length keeps server wiring tidy inside or out

SFF8088 to Four SATA Fanout Cable

This new Fervit cable converts a single Mini SAS HD SFF8088 26Pin port into four SATA 7Pin female connectors. It uses 28AWG pure copper wire with 10ohm impedance matching to support 6Gbps bandwidth for enterprise server storage and RAID arrays. The one metre length suits internal or external wiring.

Server Builders Needing Multidrive SAS Expansion

Ideal for administrators connecting up to four SATA drives to one SAS controller port in rackmount or tower servers. Not for systems lacking an SFF8088 host interface or for installations requiring longer reach than one metre. Also not for direct connection to eSATA external enclosures without a compatible bracket.

6Gbps Bandwidth Over 28AWG Copper

The cable is rated for stable 6Gbps transmission across each of the four SATA lanes. This specification decides whether the link can sustain the throughput your RAID array or drive set demands.

Questions about this item

What connectors come on the cable and do I need any adapters?

The cable has one Mini SAS HD SFF8088 26Pin male connector on one end and four SATA 7Pin female connectors on the other; no extra adapters are required.

How do I choose between cable variants?

This model is a single 1 metre fanout with 28AWG wire and 10ohm impedance; select it when you need to split one SFF8088 port into four SATA drives.

What does the 6Gbps rating mean for my drives?

It supports 6Gbps SAS signalling so each attached SATA drive can run at its full 6Gbps speed without the cable becoming a bottleneck.
