Grwibeou CX23881 PCIe Capture Card

This PCIe capture card uses the CX23881 chip to bring composite AV sources into a Windows PC. It targets integrators and hobbyists who need a simple, plug-and-play way to digitise analogue video feeds for surveillance, monitoring or legacy equipment archiving.

640x480 resolution capture headroom

The card captures at a fixed 640x480 resolution, which is adequate for standard-definition cameras and older AV gear. It cannot handle high-definition or widescreen signals, so any source above that resolution will be downscaled or rejected.

Replaces USB capture dongles for permanent installs

Internal PCIe mounting removes cable clutter and driver conflicts common with external adapters, making the jump worthwhile for rack-mounted or kiosk systems that run continuously. It is not suited for laptops or machines without a free PCIe slot.

Questions about this item

Will the Grwibeou CX23881 capture card work in a legacy PCIe x1 slot on an older motherboard?

The card uses a standard PCIe bus and relies on Windows Plug and Play for driver installation, so it will function in any available PCIe slot including x1 lanes on older boards.

How can I verify the card is capturing at the full 640x480 resolution after installation?

Open the preview window in your capture software and confirm the active video source displays at 640x480; the window size can be adjusted or set to full screen to inspect image quality.

Does the white Grwibeou CX23881 card ship with the necessary AV input cables or adapters?

The package contains the PCB and metal capture card only; composite or S-Video cables for the AV input must be purchased separately.
