Portable 2.5" SATA adapter

This USB 3.0 to SATA III adapter cable connects a 2.5" SATA hard drive or SSD to a computer for cloning, file transfer or external storage upgrades. The 23cm cable requires no extra power and works with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux systems. It is not compatible with 3.5" drives.

UASP protocol support

UASP support can deliver a 20% faster transfer rate when the host system, drive and operating system all support the protocol. Windows 8 and later plus Mac OS 8 and later enable UASP; earlier versions fall back to standard USB bulk endpoints. An LED indicates power and activity status.

Check drive size and OS version

Verify the target drive is a 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD; 3.5" models will not work. Confirm the host has a USB 3.0 port for full 5 Gbps bandwidth, though the adapter is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports. Ensure the operating system is Windows 8 or newer or Mac OS 8 or newer to use UASP acceleration.
