Access Control Module Board

The Honeywell PW6K1R2 is a new Pro-Watch two-reader module board designed for access-control installations. It provides RS485 communication to the PW6K1IC controller and supports a wide range of reader technologies including Wiegand, magnetic stripe, proximity and keypad formats.

Installers needing flexible I/O and reader support

Security integrators who require programmable relay outputs, alarm inputs and customisable off-line modes per reader will fit this module into PW5K2ENC enclosures. Sites that need more than 32 connected I/O or reader modules on a single RS485 bus should look at a different topology.

RS485 bus limit of 32 modules

Any combination of up to 32 I/O or reader modules may connect to the PW6K1IC RS485 ports over a maximum cable run of 4000 feet or 1250 metres. This single capacity figure decides whether the board matches the scale of the deployment.
