HP 657128-001 Ethernet 530T Adapter 10Gb 2-port server accessory

Dual-port 10Gb Ethernet adapter

This refurbished HP 530T adapter adds two 10Gb Ethernet ports to a server through a single slot. It is built for IT teams that need higher throughput on existing copper cabling. The card targets data-centre and enterprise environments where 1Gb links are a bottleneck.

Who should consider this and who should not

The adapter suits administrators upgrading rack-mount or tower servers to 10GbBASE-T without rewiring to fibre. It does not suit buyers who need fibre SFP+ connectivity, single-port density or speeds beyond 10Gb. Workstations lacking a compatible PCIe slot or driver support should look at other options.

PCIe slot requirement

Installation requires an available PCIe slot of sufficient generation and lane width to sustain 10Gb throughput on both ports simultaneously. Verify the server motherboard provides that slot before purchase.
