Business detachable tablet

The HP Elite x2 1012 G2 is a 12.3 inch 2-in-1 laptop built for professionals who need a detachable tablet with pen support. It runs Windows 10 Pro on a 7th generation Intel Core i7-7600U dual-core processor with 16 GB of LPDDR3 memory. The 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD provides fast storage for documents and applications.

Corning Gorilla Glass 4 touchscreen

The WQXGA IPS display measures 12.3 inches diagonally and resolves at 2736 by 1824 pixels with 450 cd/m2 brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protects the multi-touch surface, which is directly bonded to the panel for reduced glare. A USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt handles data, video and charging through a single connector. The included backlit keyboard and active pen attach magnetically for quick transitions between modes.

Upgrade from older detachables

This unit replaces earlier 2-in-1s that used slower eMMC storage, lower-resolution screens or processors without Turbo Boost up to 3.9 GHz. The jump is worth it when you need PCIe NVMe speed, 16 GB of RAM and a 3:2 aspect display in a fanless tablet form factor. Buyers who want discrete graphics, user-replaceable memory or a larger screen should consider other form factors.
