Detachable 2-in-1 for Mobile Professionals

The HP Elite x2 1012 G2 is a 12.3-inch detachable tablet with a 2736 x 1824 IPS touchscreen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It runs on an Intel Core i5-7300U dual-core processor with 16 GB of LPDDR3 memory and a 256 GB NVMe SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed for immediate productivity.

Simple Setup with Included Accessories

The unit ships with the HP Travel Backlit Keyboard and HP Active Pen attached via the magnetic connector, so no separate pairing or driver installation is required. The tablet portion locks securely to the keyboard base with a satisfying click; the only common issue is debris on the connector pins, which can prevent charging or input recognition until cleaned.

Verify Ports and Peripherals Before Buying

This model provides USB Type-C with Thunderbolt, a microSD card reader, and a headphone jack, but lacks full-size USB-A, HDMI, or Ethernet ports. Buyers who need legacy USB devices or external monitors without adapters should plan for a dock or hub. The 12.3-inch form factor also limits keyboard travel compared to traditional clamshell laptops.
