One USB Type-C port and two USB 3.0 ports, one of which supports charging, handle external drives and accessories. A DisplayPort and a VGA connector drive external monitors. Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth provide wired and wireless network options.

Integrated Graphics and Memory Ceiling

The integrated Radeon R5 graphics suit office applications and video playback but not demanding 3D workloads. Memory slots are fully populated at 8 GB; the system supports a maximum of 16 GB, so future upgrades require module replacement.

Questions about this item

Can the 8 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later?

The laptop has two DDR4 slots, both occupied by 4 GB modules, and supports up to 16 GB total.

What limits performance first during long workloads?

The 65-watt AC adapter and integrated Radeon R5 graphics share thermal headroom with the quad-core A10-8730B, so sustained clocks drop when the combined power draw hits the adapter limit.

How loud and hot does it get when running all day?

Fan noise rises under load as the single heat pipe moves heat from the APU and Radeon R5 graphics to the rear vent; surface temperatures stay within ultrabook norms for a 65-watt design.
