14" FHD Ultrabook with AMD PRO A10

The HP EliteBook 745 G4 is a 14.0-inch Full HD ultrabook powered by an AMD PRO A10-8730B quad-core processor running at 2.4 GHz up to 3.3 GHz. It includes 8 GB of DDR4 memory in a dual-channel configuration and a 1 TB SSD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Business users needing integrated graphics

This laptop suits professionals who require a VGA output alongside DisplayPort for older projectors and two USB 3.0 ports with one charging function. The integrated Radeon R5 graphics handle standard office workloads and video playback. Buyers who need a free memory slot for future upgrades or a newer Wi-Fi generation should look elsewhere.

Soldered 8 GB DDR4 memory limits expansion

The system ships with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM distributed across two occupied slots, leaving no free slots and a maximum supported capacity of 16 GB. This fixed configuration determines whether the device can meet memory-intensive workflow requirements without hardware changes.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.0" FHD panel fit a standard 14-inch laptop sleeve?

The 14.0" diagonal with thin borders matches typical 14-inch sleeve dimensions; measure your sleeve's internal width and height against the laptop's footprint before buying.

How do I upgrade the 8 GB DDR4 memory when both SO-DIMM slots are already occupied?

Remove the two existing 4 GB modules and install a matched pair up to the 16 GB maximum supported by the AMD PRO A10-8730B platform.

When should I replace the 65-watt AC adapter that ships with the EliteBook 745 G4?

Replace the charger if the barrel connector becomes loose, the cable frays near the brick, or the LED indicator fails to light when plugged into a live outlet.
