EliteBook 845 G8 Business Laptop

The HP EliteBook 845 G8 is a 14.0 inch business laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U processor with 8 cores and 16 threads. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. The chassis is silver aluminium and meets MIL-STD durability standards.

Suits Mobile Professionals

This laptop suits professionals who need a lightweight, durable machine for office applications, video calls and multi-monitor setups via the two USB-C ports with DisplayPort 1.4 and the HDMI port. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics card for 3D rendering or gaming should look elsewhere, as the system relies on integrated AMD Radeon graphics with shared memory. Those needing more than 8GB of RAM or a touchscreen display will also need a different configuration.

8GB Soldered Memory Decides Fit

The single specification that decides suitability is the 8GB DDR4 memory configuration, which cannot be upgraded after purchase. If your workflow regularly exceeds this capacity — such as running multiple virtual machines, large datasets or heavy creative suites — this unit will bottleneck performance regardless of the fast 512GB NVMe SSD or the capable 8-core Ryzen processor.
