Ready-to-deploy business laptop

The HP EliteBook 850 G7 ships with Windows 11 Pro and an Intel Core i7-10610U quad-core processor running at 1.80 GHz. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB NVMe SSD give immediate headroom for multitasking and fast boot times. A 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 FHD panel provides a crisp workspace for documents and video calls.

Four cores and eight threads for sustained workloads

The i7-10610U delivers 4 cores and 8 threads with 8 MB of L3 cache inside a 15 W envelope. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics uses shared system memory, so the 32 GB DDR4 pool serves both compute and display duties. This CPU tier handles office suites, browser-heavy research and light development without thermal throttling in the slim chassis.

256 GB NVMe and 32 GB RAM — room to grow

The PCIe M.2 drive offers snappy application launches and capacity for the OS plus a working project set. Two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, HDMI and Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth 5 cover docks, peripherals and external displays. Buyers who need more storage or a discrete GPU for rendering should look at larger workstation models.

Questions about this item

What does the quad-core 1.8 GHz i7-10610U actually deliver in this 15.6" EliteBook?

The 4-core 8-thread processor runs at 1.8 GHz base with 8 MB cache and a 15 W power envelope, so sustained multi-thread workloads stay within the thin-and-light thermal limits of the 850 G7 chassis.

What does Thunderbolt 3 over the two USB-C 3.1 ports limit me to in daily use?

Both Type-C ports share Thunderbolt 3, so each can drive external displays or docks at Thunderbolt speeds, but total bandwidth is split when both are active simultaneously.

Will the 256 GB NVMe M.2 stick fit a standard 2280 slot without adapters?

Yes, the factory-installed 256 GB PCIe M.2 SSD uses the common 2280 form factor, so any future NVMe upgrade slides straight into the same slot.
