Business-ready 15.6" laptop with i7-10610U

The HP EliteBook 850 G7 delivers a quad-core Intel Core i7-10610U processor at 1.8 GHz with 8 MB cache and eight threads. Eight gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a two-terabyte NVMe PCIe M.2 solid-state drive provide fast storage for large workloads. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed on the 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 LED-backlit display. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles everyday visual tasks.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 15-watt processor maintains consistent performance during extended office sessions, code compilation or video conferencing. Shared system memory for graphics means heavy 3D rendering or GPU compute will be limited by the integrated solution. Thermal design keeps the chassis comfortable during typical business multitasking without aggressive fan noise. Buyers who need discrete graphics power for creative rendering or engineering simulation should look elsewhere.

Build quality and daily connectivity

Grade B condition indicates visible cosmetic wear such as scratches or shiny keycaps while all structural and functional parts remain intact. Two USB 3.1 Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 support enable docks, external displays and high-speed peripherals. Two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, HDMI, a combo audio jack, Intel AX201 Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 complete the connection set. The 1080p webcam supports Windows Hello for quick sign-in.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the i7-10610U get when the laptop runs all day at 15 W?

The quad-core i7-10610U is rated at 15 W, so sustained loads stay within a modest thermal envelope; fan noise rises under heavy multi-threaded work but remains typical for a thin-and-light business chassis.

Which cables or docks must I already own to use the two USB-C Thunderbolt ports and the HDMI output?

You need a Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C cable for the two Type-C ports and a standard HDMI cable for the single HDMI port; any existing Thunderbolt dock or USB-C hub with power delivery will work.

Will the Intel UHD Graphics drive an older 1080p display over HDMI without scaling issues?

Yes, the integrated Intel UHD Graphics natively supports 1920 x 1080 over the HDMI port, so legacy 1080p monitors run at their native resolution with no extra configuration.
