Business-ready 15.6 notebook with i7 1185G7

The HP EliteBook 850 G8 pairs a quad-core Tiger Lake processor running at 3.0 GHz with 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on a 15.6 inch 1920 x 1080 LED-backlit panel. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 provide flexible connectivity for office and remote work.

Step up from dual-core ultraportables

Moving from a two-core system to this four-core, eight-thread i7 gives noticeably smoother multitasking across browser tabs, Office apps and video calls. The 12 MB cache and Iris Xe graphics handle light creative tasks without a discrete GPU. The upgrade pays off when daily workloads regularly push memory pressure or compile times on lesser machines.

8 GB memory and 512 GB SSD headroom

The soldered 8 GB DDR4 handles typical business multitasking and light development comfortably; heavy virtual machines or large datasets will exhaust it. The 512 GB NVMe drive stores the OS, apps and a solid working set of project files with room to spare. Users needing more RAM or a second drive should look elsewhere, as the platform offers no user-accessible memory slots or additional M.2 bays.
