Compact workstation for office and home

The HP EliteDesk 800 G6 Mini packs a 10th generation Intel Core i5-10500T processor with 6 cores and 12 threads into a tiny chassis. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB solid-state drive running Windows 11 Pro. The system targets professionals who need reliable multitasking performance without sacrificing desk space.

Integrated graphics limit heavy visual work

The Intel UHD Graphics 630 engine handles standard business applications and dual-display output through the available video ports. It is not suited for modern gaming, 3D rendering or GPU-accelerated workloads that require discrete graphics memory. Buyers who need hardware video encoding or high frame rates should look elsewhere.

Replaces tower desktops for general productivity

This Mini PC upgrades from older SFF or tower systems when space is tight and workloads stay within office productivity, web browsing and video conferencing. The jump is worth it if you want a silent, low-power platform with fast SSD responsiveness and modern USB connectivity. It does not replace a workstation for CAD, development or content creation.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 32GB DDR4 and 2TB SSD configuration or a smaller capacity?

The 32GB DDR4 and 2TB SSD combination supports heavy multitasking and stores large project files locally without needing external drives.

What does the 3.80 GHz boost clock mean for daily workloads?

The Intel Core i5-10500T reaches 3.80 GHz on short bursts, so spreadsheet calculations and video calls stay responsive before the 35 W power limit throttles sustained loads.

Which USB standard do the 10Gbps Type-A and Type-C ports actually use?

The three Type-A and one Type-C ports labelled 10Gbps run at USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds, capping external SSD transfers at roughly 10 Gbps.
