HP ProCurve 2920 1.0m Stacking Cable

This 1.0 metre stacking cable connects compatible HP ProCurve 2920 switches into a single managed stack. It provides the physical link required for unified configuration and resilient uplinks. The cable is supplied new and ready for immediate deployment in a rack or cabinet.

Suitable for network engineers building a ProCurve

It fits installations that need to join two or more 2920 units with the standard stacking interface. Buyers who require a longer reach between switches or a different vendor’s stacking system should look at alternative cabling options.

Handles one stacking link between two 2920 members

The 1.0 m length comfortably spans adjacent rack positions and short cross-rack runs. It does not extend to wider cabinet spacing or multi-rack distances, so longer cables are needed for those layouts.

Questions about this item

Do I need two HP 2920 switches with stacking ports to use the 1.0m stacking cable?

Yes, the cable connects two HP 2920 switches through their dedicated stacking interfaces to form a single managed stack.

Can I keep older ProCurve switches in the same rack while adding this 1.0m cable between two 2920 units?

Yes, the cable only links the two 2920 switches; other rack-mounted switches operate independently unless also joined by their own stacking cables.

How do I confirm the 1.0m stacking cable is working after connecting two 2920 switches?

The stack ports on both switches show an active link light, and the management interface reports a single stack with two members.
