This HPE 667879-001 is a 300 GB internal hard drive with a 2.5 inch form factor. It operates at 10000 rpm over a 12Gb/s SAS interface. The unit is designed for HPE StoreVirtual 3000 Storage System environments.

Bundled accessories and software

The product ships as a bare drive without additional cables, mounting brackets or management software. Buyers who need a complete kit with installation hardware or licensing must source those items separately.

12Gb/s SAS interface requirement

The drive requires a backplane or controller that supports 12Gb/s SAS signalling to function at its rated speed. Systems limited to 6Gb/s SAS will not achieve the specified throughput. Builders without compatible SAS infrastructure should verify controller support before purchase.
