SKU CH-A086-DKXD9

A 10 metre LSZH zipcord with LC connectors carries OM4 multimode fibre for network links

  • Product typeNetwork Cable
  • OM4 multi-mode supports high-bandwidth 50/125 µm links
  • LSZH jacket reduces toxic smoke in fire-risk areas
  • Short LC boots fit dense patch panels easily
  • 6 mm zipcord keeps dual fibres tidy and protected
  • 10 metre length suits standard rack-to-rack runs

HPE Premier Flex OM4 Fibre Cable

This HPE Premier Flex cable is a duplex multi-mode fibre patch lead with LC connectors on both ends. It uses 50/125 µm OM4 glass and a 1.6 mm LSZH zipcord jacket. The 10 metre length suits rack-to-rack or patch-panel links in data-centre environments.

Who This Suits

Network engineers building OM4 multi-mode links between switches, servers or storage arrays over short distances. The short-boot LC ends fit dense patch panels. Installers needing single-mode fibre, longer runs, or different connector types such as SC or MPO should select a different cable.

Deciding Specification

The core/cladding diameter of 50/125 µm and OM4 rating determine the bandwidth distance this cable supports. Match these figures to your transceiver and link-length requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum length of this OM4 zipcord before signal loss becomes an issue?

The cable is 10 metres or 32.81 feet long, matching the OM4 multi-mode distance limits for typical data-centre links.

Does the LSZH jacket affect heat dissipation when the cable runs continuously in a dense rack?

The 1.6 mm LSZH jacket is designed for low-smoke, zero-halogen safety and does not change the cable's passive thermal behaviour in a rack.

Which LC transceivers or switch ports must I already have for this duplex cable to work?

You need two LC male ports on multi-mode transceivers or switch interfaces that accept 50/125 µm OM4 fibre.
