Cooling module for 8360 switches

The JL714A is a port-to-power fan tray built for HPE Aruba 8360 series switches. It draws air from the port side toward the power side to keep the chassis within thermal limits. Network engineers use it to maintain reliable airflow in data-centre and campus racks.

Direction-specific airflow tray

This module only fits the port-to-power airflow orientation of the 8360 line; it will not operate correctly in a power-to-port configuration. Buyers needing the opposite airflow direction must source the matching reverse tray. The 714 part number identifies this specific airflow variant.

Questions about this item

What does the 8360 designation mean when this fan is installed in a switch?

The 8360 label identifies this module as the Port-to-Power airflow fan for the Aruba 8360 switch series, ensuring air moves from the port side toward the power supplies.

Which interface or standard governs how this fan connects to the switch chassis?

The fan uses the proprietary 8360 switch module slot, which keys mechanically and electrically to the chassis so only the correct Port-to-Power orientation fits.
