In-ceiling Wi-Fi 5 access point

The HPE Aruba AP-325 is a dual-radio wireless access point built for ceiling mounting in business environments. It delivers Wi-Fi 5 connectivity on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands using 4x4 MU-MIMO technology. Integrated antennas keep the profile low and installation simple. This unit suits offices, retail spaces and schools that want managed wireless without visible hardware.

Dual 1000Base-T Ethernet ports

Two RJ-45 ports each support 1000Base-T wired uplinks for link aggregation or redundant connections to the network core. The wired interfaces are the only physical network connections on the device. PoE power is drawn through these ports so no separate power supply is required. Buyers who need fibre uplinks or a single Ethernet connection should consider other models.

Ceiling mount with integrated antennas

The package includes two ceiling mounting clips for secure attachment to drop-ceiling grids or hard surfaces. Internal antennas eliminate external protrusions and reduce tampering risk. PoE-powered operation removes the need for local mains wiring at the install point. Installers must provide a PoE-capable switch or injector and a compatible network management platform.

Questions about this item

What does the 4x4 MU-MIMO rating mean for real-world throughput on this AP?

The 4x4 MU-MIMO design lets the AP serve up to four spatial streams simultaneously, so compatible clients can reach the full Wi-Fi 5 link rate on each band without waiting for airtime.

How do the two 1000Base-T RJ-45 ports limit wired backhaul speed?

Each port caps at 1 Gbps full duplex, so the wired uplink cannot exceed 1 Gbps even if the wireless side aggregates higher throughput.

What ceiling hardware is included for mounting the AP?

The box contains two ceiling mounting clips that secure the unit into a standard suspended-ceiling grid.
