  • Dual 5 Gbps Ethernet ports remove wired bottlenecks
  • Flagship 650 series built for dense enterprise environments

Tri-band 802.11ax access point for enterprise

The AP-655 is a flagship wireless access point built on the 650 series platform. It operates across three radios using 4x4 MIMO to deliver a combined data rate of 7.80 Gbit/s. The 6 GHz band provides up to 1200 MHz of additional spectrum for high-density environments.

Best suited for high-density enterprise deployments

This model suits organisations that need maximum capacity for bandwidth-intensive video, large client counts and IoT device growth. Ultra tri-band filtering reduces channel interference in congested areas. It is not intended for small offices or home users who do not require multi-gigabit uplink resilience.

Dual 5 Gbps Ethernet ports for wired backhaul

Two configurable 5 Gbps ports eliminate coverage gaps and provide link resiliency for the wireless throughput. This uplink capacity is the deciding factor for installations that must support multi-gigabit traffic without wired bottlenecks.

Questions about this item

Does the AP-655 require a PoE+ injector or switch to power up?

The AP-655 is powered through its dual 5 Gbps Ethernet ports using PoE+, so a compliant injector or switch must already be in place before installation.

Will the 6 GHz radios on the AP-655 interfere with the 5 GHz gear I keep running?

Ultra tri-band filtering on the 650 Series minimizes channel interference, letting the 6 GHz radios operate cleanly alongside existing 5 GHz equipment.

How can I confirm the AP-655 is delivering its rated 7.80 Gbit/s aggregate throughput after setup?

The Instant On management dashboard reports per-radio PHY rates and client counts; when all three 4x4 radios show combined throughput near 7.80 Gbit/s the AP is performing as specified.
