Hyundai 2068 8 GB recorder

The Hyundai 2068 is a pocket-sized digital voice recorder with 8 GB of built-in storage and a 1.1" OLED display. It captures audio in PCM WAV format and supports voice-activated, timed and external-microphone recording modes. The metal body houses a high-sensitivity microphone for stereo capture and a 16 mm dynamic speaker for playback. It is aimed at students, journalists and professionals who need long-duration, portable dictation.

24-hour battery and USB charging

A built-in rechargeable battery delivers up to 24 hours of continuous recording and over 200 hours of earphone playback on a full charge. Charging takes around 5 hours from a 5 V 500 mA adapter via the Micro USB port, which also serves as the PC interface for file transfer. The device offers 30 days of standby time and operates silently with no moving parts, drawing power only during active recording or playback.

Earphones and cable included

The package supplies earphones for private listening and a USB cable for charging and data transfer, so no extra accessories are required to start recording or play back files. A warranty card is also included. There is no bundled software for editing or transcription, and the recorder does not support wireless connectivity or memory expansion beyond the internal 8 GB.

Questions about this item

How do I start recording with the built-in microphone and what setting is often missed?

Press the record button after selecting PCM 384 KB WAV mode; the step people miss is enabling voice-activated recording so the device pauses during silence.

Which component will need replacement first and when?

The built-in rechargeable battery typically degrades after several hundred charge cycles, reducing the 24-hour recording life per charge.

What limit appears first during a long continuous session?

The 24-hour battery life per charge is reached before the 520-hour storage capacity fills.
