IBM 00JX058 Xeon E5-2640 v3 8-core 2.60 GHz 20 MB L3 90 W switch module

IBM Xeon E5-2640 v3 Processor Module

This refurbished IBM module integrates an Intel Xeon E5-2640 v3 processor with eight cores running at 2.60 GHz and 20 MB of L3 cache. It fits a socket FCLGA2011-3 interface and operates within a 90 W thermal envelope on a 22 nm process. The component is designed for compatible server or workstation boards that support this specific socket and power profile.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous workloads the eight cores maintain the 2.60 GHz base frequency within the 90 W limit, while the 20 MB shared L3 cache reduces memory latency for multi-threaded tasks. The 8 GT/s QPI link provides steady inter-socket bandwidth for scalable configurations. Buyers needing higher core counts, greater cache capacity or a newer socket generation should consider other modules.
