Inctel I11-8250U-321TB fanless mini desktop

The Inctel I11-8250U-321TB is a fanless mini desktop built around an Intel Core i5-8250U processor running at 1.60 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB SSD, plus Windows 10 Pro pre-installed. The brushed aluminium chassis acts as a heatsink for continuous 24-hour operation.

Industrial automation and edge deployments

This unit suits integrators who need six serial ports with RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 switching from BIOS, dual Intel i211 Gigabit LAN, and VGA plus HDMI dual-display output. It is not for buyers who require a discrete GPU, internal expansion slots, or active cooling for sustained heavy compute loads.

32 GB DDR4 and 1 TB SSD headroom

The single SO-DIMM slot is already populated at its 32 GB maximum, so memory cannot be increased. Storage includes one mSATA slot, one M.2 2280 slot and one 2.5-inch bay, allowing additional drives alongside the fitted 1 TB SSD. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles typical industrial visualisation but runs out on modern 3D workloads.

Questions about this item

Does the I11-8250U-321TB need an external monitor and keyboard to operate?

Yes, the mini PC has no built-in screen or input devices. Connect a display via VGA or HDMI and add USB peripherals to begin using Windows 10 Pro.

Can the six COM ports on this unit replace the serial interfaces on my older industrial equipment?

COM1 and COM2 are configurable in BIOS for RS232, RS422 or RS485, matching many legacy serial standards. The remaining four ports operate as standard RS232.

How can I confirm the fanless cooling is keeping the Core i5-8250U within safe temperatures after installation?

The aluminium chassis acts as a heatsink; monitor CPU temperature in Windows Task Manager or BIOS during a 24-hour load test to verify thermal stability.
