The Inctel I27-i5 8250U-8G128G is a fanless desktop computer built around a quad-core Intel Core i5 8250U processor with 6 MB cache and a 15 W TDP. It ships with Windows 10 Pro, 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 128 GB SSD, and adds six COM ports, eight-bit GPIO and a parallel port for legacy industrial equipment. Dual Intel i213 gigabit LAN and dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi provide wired and wireless connectivity in a compact all-metal chassis.

Sustained load behaviour without active cooling

Because the 15 W CPU is cooled passively by the metal case, clock speeds settle at the base 1.6 GHz during long workloads rather than holding the 3.4 GHz turbo. The Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives two independent displays at up to 4096×2304 at 24 Hz through HD and VGA outputs. Four USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports maintain full bandwidth for data-logging peripherals even when the system runs continuously in enclosed cabinets.

Expansion constraint that decides fit

Internal storage expansion relies on one M.2 2280 slot, one mSATA slot and one 2.5-inch SATA bay, while memory is limited to a single SO-DIMM DDR4 socket with a 32 GB ceiling. The half-size and full-size Mini PCIe slots with a SIM holder accept 4G or additional Wi-Fi cards, but no PCIe x16 or M.2 NVMe keyed slots are present. Buyers who need discrete graphics or more than two drive bays must choose a larger platform.
