Fanless industrial mini PC

The Inctel I27-i5 7200U-16G1TB is a fanless mini desktop built around an Intel Core i5 7200U dual-core processor running at a base frequency of 2.50GHz with a maximum turbo of 3.1GHz. It ships with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB SSD, and comes pre-installed with Windows 10 Pro. The all-metal chassis provides silent operation and includes mounting ears for fixed installations.

Sustained load behaviour

Because the system is entirely fanless, the metal case acts as the heatsink for the 15W TDP processor. Under continuous workloads the CPU will throttle to stay within its thermal envelope rather than maintain peak turbo indefinitely. The 14nm Kaby Lake architecture and 3MB cache handle steady multi-threaded tasks such as data logging, edge gateway duties or digital signage without acoustic noise, but prolonged heavy compute will run at reduced clocks.

Expansion constraint

Internal storage expansion relies on one mSATA slot, one M.2 2280 slot supporting SATA or nvme, and one 2.5-inch SATA bay; only a single SO-DIMM DDR4 slot is available with a 32GB ceiling. Buyers who need more than two additional drives or dual-channel memory should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How much heat and noise does the fanless all-metal case produce during continuous operation?

The fanless design means no moving parts, so the system runs silently and dissipates heat through the metal chassis.

What display and input devices must I already own to use this mini PC?

A monitor with HD or VGA input, plus a keyboard and mouse for the USB or PS/2 ports.

Can I keep using my existing DDR4 SO-DIMM modules when upgrading this unit?

Yes, the board accepts one DDR4 SO-DIMM up to 32 GB, so compatible modules you already have will work.
