Compact fanless desktop for 24/7 edge workloads

The Inctel i3-8145U desktop PC ships as a new, fanless nettop in a brushed aluminium chassis. An Intel Core i3-8145U processor with two cores and four threads runs at a 2.1 GHz base frequency and can reach 3.9 GHz. Eight gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD come pre-installed with Windows 10 Pro, which is also Windows 11 ready.

Suits kiosk, signage and light server roles.

Silent operation and a 15 W TDP make the unit viable for continuous deployment in noise-sensitive or space-constrained locations. Dual HDMI and VGA outputs drive two independent displays. Buyers who need more than two processing threads, discrete graphics performance or larger memory capacity should consider a different platform.

Handles office apps, 4K video playback

The 256 GB solid-state drive provides fast boot and application load times for typical productivity and media tasks. Intel UHD Graphics decodes 4K content smoothly across both video outputs. Storage headroom is limited to the single installed SSD; the board does accept an additional M.2 2280 NVMe drive, an mSATA module and a 2.5-inch SATA device for expansion when the workload grows.

Questions about this item

What monitor cables do I need to connect this desktop to my existing displays?

The unit provides VGA and HDMI outputs, so you can use a VGA cable for older monitors and an HDMI cable for newer ones; both ports can drive two screens at the same time.

Can I keep my current DDR3 memory modules and add them to this PC?

No, the board only accepts DDR4 modules in its two SO-DIMM slots, so DDR3 sticks will not fit or work.

How can I verify the Intel UHD Graphics are active after I power on the system?

Open Device Manager in Windows 10 Pro, expand Display adapters, and confirm Intel UHD Graphics appears without a warning icon.
