Biometric USB fingerprint reader for Windows

The ineo FP02 adds biometric authentication to Windows 10 and 11 devices through a standard USB connection. It supports Windows Hello for password-free sign-in and enables one-touch computer locking via the Win + L shortcut when stepping away from the desk.

Single-finger capacity

The reader stores fingerprint data for Windows Hello authentication on one user account at a time. It handles daily login and quick-lock scenarios reliably, but it does not support macOS or multi-user fingerprint enrolment on the same device.

Compact optical sensor with 5 ft cable

A high-precision optical sensor provides fast, accurate scanning in a small desktop footprint. The fixed 5 ft USB cable offers flexible placement on a desk or monitor stand without requiring an additional hub or extension.

Questions about this item

Will the FP02 reader work on the same Windows 10 PC that still uses a password and a USB security key?

Yes, Windows Hello lets you register the FP02 alongside your existing password and any hardware key, so each method stays available at the sign-in screen.

How do I confirm the FP02 is recognised and ready after plugging it into a USB port?

Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options; the FP02 will appear under Windows Hello Fingerprint once the driver loads, and you can start enrolment immediately.

The box lists only the USB Fingerprint Reader — do I need a separate cable or software licence?

The 5 ft cable is fixed to the reader and Windows Hello drivers are built into Windows 10 and 11, so nothing else is required.
