Hot-swap rack for four 3.5-inch drives

The BPN-DE340HD-RED fits three standard 5.25-inch bays and provides four trayless 3.5-inch hot-swap slots. It accepts SAS I, II and III as well as SATA I, II and III hard drives up to 14TB each. A key lock on the aluminium front bezel secures the drives. The unit is aimed at server builders who need dense, removable storage in a standard chassis.

12Gb/s interface ceiling and single-fan cooling

The backplane supports up to 12Gb/s transfer rates, so drive performance is limited by the SAS or SATA generation installed and the host controller used. A single 80mm fan handles airflow for all four drives; thermal headroom will depend on drive load and case ventilation. No RAID function is built in — a separate controller is required for any RAID configuration.

All-aluminium chassis with removable fan cover

The frame, front bezel, handle and main chassis are aluminium, finished in red on the bezel and black on the body. The integrative shaping acts as a heat sink for the drives. A removable fan cover simplifies cleaning or fan replacement. Blue and purple LEDs show power and drive activity at a glance.
