Jansicotek LJ-DP8K 10 ft DisplayPort 1.4 cable

The Jansicotek LJ-DP8K is a male-to-male DisplayPort 1.4 cable measuring 10 ft. It carries HBR3-rated bandwidth up to 32.4 Gbit/s and supports resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz, 4096 x 2160 at 144 Hz, and 2560 x 1440 at 240 Hz. The triple-shielded solid copper construction also handles HDCP 2.2, HDCP 1.4, HDR, DPCP 1.0, MST, DSC and Forward Error Correction.

Compatibility check before ordering

Verify that both your source and display have full-size DisplayPort 1.4 ports; the cable does not fit Mini DisplayPort or USB-C without an adapter. Confirm your graphics card and monitor each list HBR3 or 8K 60 Hz support to use the maximum bandwidth. Ensure the 10 ft length reaches between devices without strain, as the cable is not extendable.

Upgrade from older DisplayPort cables

This cable replaces DisplayPort 1.2 or earlier cords that cap at lower bandwidth and cannot drive 4K at 144 Hz or 2K at 240 Hz. The jump is worthwhile when moving to a high-refresh gaming monitor or an 8K display that requires 32.4 Gbit/s throughput. It adds no benefit if your current hardware only outputs 1080p at 60 Hz.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and is anything else needed to use the Jansicotek LJ-DP8K cable?

The box contains the 10 ft DisplayPort 1.4 male-to-male cable. No extra adapters or power supplies are required; both ends plug directly into standard DisplayPort sockets on a graphics card and monitor.

Which version or capacity of this cable should I choose for my setup?

This model is a single 10 ft DisplayPort 1.4 cable rated for HBR3 bandwidth of 32.40 Gbit/s. It covers 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 2K at 240 Hz, so one cable fits all those resolutions and refresh rates.

What does the 32.4 Gbps bandwidth figure mean when the cable is connected to a real PC and monitor?

The 32.4 Gbps HBR3 rating lets the link carry 8K 60 Hz, 4K 144 Hz or 2K 240 Hz video with HDR and HDCP 2.2, provided the graphics card and monitor both support DisplayPort 1.4 and the chosen resolution and refresh rate.
