It is intended for installers and home-theatre owners who need to feed an amplifier, soundbar or powered speakers while keeping the display connected. The extractor works with sources up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz and passes HDR10 metadata through the HDMI path.

18 Gbps HDMI 2.0 bandwidth limit

The device operates within the 18 Gbps ceiling of the HDMI 2.0 interface, so 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4 signals are supported but higher refresh rates or 8K resolutions cannot pass. HDCP 2.2 copy protection is handled, and ARC allows return audio from a compatible display. Audio formats above 5.1 channels or Dolby Digital Plus are not decoded on the optical or analogue ports.

Handles 4K 60 Hz with 5.1 surround

The extractor comfortably drives a 4K 60 Hz video stream while delivering up to 5.1-channel Dolby Digital, DTS or LPCM through the optical port and two-channel PCM through the 3.5 mm jack.
