What it does and who needs it

The Jansicotek OZV8 extracts audio from a single HDMI 2.0b source and delivers it through three parallel paths: an HDMI loop-through, an optical Toslink SPDIF output and a 3.5 mm stereo jack. It accepts 4K at 60 Hz, 1080p and lower resolutions with 24, 30 or 36-bit deep colour. The built-in EDID switch selects Pass, 2-channel or 5.1-channel audio modes for compatibility with soundbars, amplifiers or headphones.

Sustained-load behaviour

The splitter maintains an 18 Gbps bandwidth and 340 MHz pixel clock continuously, so extended gaming sessions or long-form video playback do not degrade the signal. HDCP 1.4 and HDMI 1.4 compliance remain active throughout operation. The 5 V 1 A power adapter supplies stable current, preventing drop-outs when the source device switches resolution or colour depth.

Thermals, noise and power

Passive cooling keeps the aluminium enclosure silent; no fan is present. Typical draw stays well below the 5 W available from the included supply, so the unit runs cool to the touch during normal use. LED indicators show power and signal status without adding audible noise.
