50 ft Toslink cable for surround systems

The Jansicotek T001A is a 50 ft Toslink digital optical audio cable built for multi-channel 5.1 6.1 and 7.1 Dolby AC-3 and DTS decoding. Male-to-male gold-plated connectors link sound bars home theatre receivers TVs game consoles and other devices with standard Toslink ports. A braided nylon jacket protects the fibre core during routing.

Sustained signal integrity over long runs

High-precision concentrated fibre lens technology keeps the beam focused and reduces internal reflection so the optical signal stays lossless across the full 50 ft length. The fibre core delivers zero-distortion streaming for uncompressed PCM and compressed surround formats without RFI or EMI interference. Gold-plated metal connectors resist corrosion for consistent contact over time.

Straightforward push-fit installation

Connectors are keyed so they only insert one way eliminating angle guesswork. The flexible 2.2 5.0 mm braided jacket bends around corners without kinking the fibre core. Avoid sharp bends tighter than the cable's natural curve and do not overtighten cable ties which can crush the optical filament.

Questions about this item

Does the 50 ft length add heat or power draw when the cable runs all day?

Optical fibre carries light instead of electricity, so the 50 ft cable adds no heat and draws no power during continuous use.

What Toslink ports must my devices already have for this male-to-male cable to work?

Both source and receiver need a standard square Toslink (S/PDIF) port; the 24 K gold-plated male plugs on this cable insert directly into those ports.

Will the 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 Dolby AC-3 and DTS signals pass through to my older AV receiver?

Yes, the fibre core supports uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1 to 7.1 surround formats, so legacy receivers with Toslink inputs decode them without conversion.
