50-foot DisplayPort 1.4 fiber cable

The Jansicotek TJ-A077 is a 50-foot DisplayPort 1.4 cable built with a hybrid glass-fiber and copper construction. It connects a DisplayPort source to a DisplayPort display over long runs where copper cables lose signal integrity. The male-to-male connectors feature 24K gold-plated contacts and a zinc-alloy shell. It is suited for installers and enthusiasts routing video through walls or across large rooms.

32.4 Gbps bandwidth with 8K60 and 4K144 support

The cable carries up to 32.4 Gbps, enabling 8K resolution at 60 Hz and 4K resolution at 144 Hz. It is backward compatible with 2K and 1080p signals and supports HBR3, DSC 1.2 and HDR10. The four-core optical fiber handles the high-speed data lanes while copper conductors carry auxiliary and power lines. Bandwidth headroom ends at the DisplayPort 1.4 limit; it does not reach DisplayPort 2.0 speeds.

Directional fiber design with passive operation

The hybrid fiber-optic design eliminates electromagnetic interference and does not require external power; it draws only the small auxiliary current provided by the DisplayPort source. The cable is directional — one connector is marked for the source and the other for the display — and must be installed in the correct orientation. The TPE jacket resists wear during in-wall pulls. No active electronics generate heat or noise.

Questions about this item

Will this 50 ft fiber optic DisplayPort cable work with my older graphics card that only has DP 1.2 ports?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with DP 1.2 and will run at the lower 1080p or 2K resolutions your card supports.

How can I confirm the cable is delivering 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz after I plug it in?

Check your GPU control panel or monitor OSD to verify the active resolution and refresh rate match 8K@60 Hz or 4K@144 Hz.

Does the box include both the Source and Display connectors already attached, or do I need to buy adapters?

The cable comes with male-to-male DisplayPort 1.4 connectors on both ends labelled Source and Display; no extra adapters are required.
