Adjustable Step-Down Converter
The KEHIPI 180057 buck converter accepts a DC input between 4.0V and 32.0V and produces an adjustable output from 1.25V to 30.0V. It is built around the LM2596 regulator and includes a three-digit LED display that cycles through input voltage, output voltage and output current. A screw terminal sets the output level while a front-panel button toggles the output on and off.
Three-Amp Peak Current Limit
The module delivers up to 3A peak current, but continuous operation is rated at 1.5A with total output power kept within 20W. Input reverse-polarity protection and short-circuit protection are integrated. The display shows voltage to ± (1% + 2 digits) and current to ± 2 digits.
Compact Board for Low-Power Loads
Measuring 6.0 x 3.4 x 1.3 cm and weighing 24 g, the red PCB suits breadboard or enclosure mounting. It comfortably powers microcontroller projects, LED strips or sensor arrays that stay below the 20W continuous envelope. Loads requiring sustained current above 1.5A or total power beyond 20W exceed its thermal design.

Questions about this item
What does the 3 A peak rating mean for continuous use?
The module can deliver up to 3 A for short bursts, but continuous operation is limited to 1.5 A as long as total output power stays within 20 W.
What input-to-output voltage drop does the buck topology impose?
Buck mode requires at least a 2 V difference between input and output, so the input must be 2 V higher than the desired output voltage.
How much board space does the 6.0 × 3.4 cm footprint need inside an enclosure?
The PCB measures 6.0 cm long by 3.4 cm wide with a 1.3 cm height, so allow that area plus clearance for wiring and the USB-style terminals.
