Colour E Ink eReader for Digital Reading

The Kobo Clara Colour is a 6-inch digital text reader with an E Ink Kaleido 3 display that renders eBooks in full colour. It targets readers who want a glare-free, distraction-free device for novels, non-fiction, comics and illustrated titles without the eye strain of backlit screens.

File Support and Storage Limits

The device reads ePub, EPUB 3, FlePub, PDF, MOBI, TXT, HTML, RTF, CBZ and CBR book files alongside JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG and TIFF images. Internal flash storage is 16 GB, which the supplier equates to roughly 12000 books; readers with larger libraries or heavy graphic-novel collections will hit that ceiling.

Upgrade Path from Monochrome E-Readers

This model replaces older 6-inch monochrome eReaders that cannot show colour covers, illustrations or multi-colour highlights. The jump is worthwhile when you regularly read comics, magazines, children's books or annotated PDFs where colour adds information; it is not for buyers who only read plain-text novels and need longer battery life or physical page-turn buttons.
