Compact all-in-one for office work

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny combines a 22-inch FHD IPS display with an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor running at 3.0 GHz up to 4.1 GHz. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout of 128 GB M.2 SSD plus 1 TB SSD provide fast boot and ample file space. Windows 11 Pro, USB keyboard and mouse are included out of the box.

Sustained workloads on six cores

The 65 W hexa-core CPU maintains its 3.0 GHz base frequency across extended sessions without relying on short bursts to 4.1 GHz. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles standard business applications and video playback without a discrete GPU. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 keeps multiple browser tabs, office suites and background services responsive during long workdays.

Thermals, noise and power in daily use

The Tiny micro form factor uses a compact internal cooler that keeps the 65 W processor within thermal limits during typical office loads. Fan noise remains low enough for open-plan environments while the power supply draws only what the 65 W chip and panel require. No discrete graphics card means lower overall system power compared to tower configurations.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 65 W i5-8500 generate when the system runs continuously?

The processor has a 65 W TDP; the tiny chassis uses a compact cooler that exhausts heat through the rear vent, so surface temperatures stay warm but within normal desktop limits during all-day workloads.

Which display inputs must my existing monitor provide to work as a second screen?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics drives the built-in 22" panel and offers one external video output; check the rear I/O for HDMI or DisplayPort to match your monitor's cable.

Will my older USB 2.0 keyboard and mouse function with the included peripherals connected?

Yes — the front and rear USB ports are backward compatible, so legacy USB 2.0 devices work alongside the supplied USB keyboard and mouse without extra drivers.
