Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny is a micro-form-factor all-in-one desktop with a 24-inch full-HD IPS display. It runs an 8th-generation Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor at 3.20 GHz with turbo up to 4.60 GHz. Eight gigabytes of DDR4 memory, a 128 GB M.2 SSD and a 1 TB hard drive handle everyday office workloads. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Dual-drive upgrade path

The factory configuration pairs a fast M.2 solid-state drive for the operating system with a large mechanical drive for data. This replaces single-drive setups that force a choice between speed and capacity. The jump is worth it when you need responsive boot times and ample local storage without adding external enclosures. Memory can be expanded to 32 GB DDR4 if workloads grow.

Compatibility checklist

Verify that the 65-watt processor and included power adapter meet your site power budget. Confirm the USB keyboard and mouse suit your preferred layout. Check whether the USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle provides the wireless performance your environment requires. Ensure the all-in-one footprint fits the intended desk space.

Questions about this item

Will the M720q Tiny's micro form-factor case fit on a standard VESA mount behind a monitor?

The M720q Tiny uses a micro form-factor chassis designed for VESA mounting, allowing it to attach directly to the back of a compatible monitor or stand.

What is the correct order to install the 128 GB M.2 SSD and 1 TB hard drive so Windows 10 Pro boots from the faster drive?

The operating system is pre-installed on the 128 GB M.2 SSD; the 1 TB hard drive appears as a secondary storage volume, so no manual drive-order configuration is required.

Which memory specification must a replacement module match to upgrade the 8 GB DDR4 UDIMM?

Replacement memory must be DDR4 UDIMM; the system board accepts DDR4 modules up to the platform limit.
