Tiny Business Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q is a micro-form-factor desktop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor running at 3.20 GHz with a 4.60 GHz turbo boost. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 2.5-inch 128 GB SSD, plus Windows 10 Pro pre-installed. A USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle, keyboard and mouse are included in the box.

Upgrade From Older SFF Systems

This unit replaces bulkier small-form-factor or tower PCs that use 6th or 7th generation Intel Core processors and mechanical hard drives. The jump is worth it when you need six cores and twelve threads for multi-tasking office workloads, faster boot times from the solid-state drive, and a footprint small enough to mount behind a monitor or tuck into a desk cubby.

Build Integration Notes

The M720q uses DDR4 UDIMM memory in a 240-pin form factor and provides a single 2.5-inch drive bay alongside an M.2 slot for a second drive. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics drives display outputs without a discrete card, while the 65 W processor keeps power and cooling demands modest. A DVD-ROM drive is fitted internally, and the included USB peripherals free up budget for a monitor.
