Compact desktop with dual storage

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q is a micro-form-factor all-in-one system powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor reaching 4.60 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory, a 256 GB M.2 SSD for the operating system and a 1 TB hard drive for bulk data. Windows 11 Pro, a 24-inch FHD IPS display, DVD-ROM drive, USB keyboard and mouse are included.

Suits space-constrained offices.

This configuration fits buyers who need a ready-to-run workstation on a small desk and want both fast boot storage and large local capacity. It will not serve users who require a dedicated graphics card, internal expansion slots or support for memory beyond the installed 16 GB DDR4.

Build-ready with integrated display and peripherals

The all-in-one chassis eliminates the need for a separate monitor, cables and power brick while the included USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle provides wireless connectivity. The M.2 SSD handles the OS and applications, freeing the 1 TB hard drive for documents, media and backups without additional drives or adapters.

Questions about this item

Does the Intel Core i7-8700 processor require a separate graphics card to drive the included 24-inch display?

No, the Intel UHD Graphics built into the i7-8700 drives the integrated monitor directly, so no additional graphics card is needed.

Can I keep using my existing DDR4 memory modules if I want to expand beyond the installed 16 GB?

Yes, the system uses DDR4 UDIMM slots and supports up to 32 GB total, so compatible DDR4 sticks can be added alongside the factory memory.

How can I verify that the 256 GB M.2 SSD and 1 TB hard drive are both recognised after first boot?

Open File Explorer or Disk Management in Windows 11 Pro; both drives should appear with their full capacities listed and the OS installed on the M.2 SSD.
