Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny is a micro-form-factor desktop built around an 8th-generation Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor with a 4.6 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory, a 128 GB M.2 solid-state drive plus a 1 TB hard drive, and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. A USB keyboard, mouse and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle are included.

Dual-drive capacity and headroom

The 128 GB M.2 drive holds the operating system and core applications for fast boot and launch times. The 1 TB hard drive provides bulk space for documents, media and local backups. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 memory gives comfortable headroom for multitasking across office suites, browser tabs and light virtualization. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics limits 3D workloads and multi-monitor setups beyond basic productivity.

Upgrade path from older SFF or tower PCs

This system replaces ageing small-form-factor or tower desktops that still run on 4-core processors and mechanical drives alone. The jump is worth it when you need a smaller footprint, quieter operation and the responsiveness of solid-state storage without changing your existing monitors or peripherals. It does not suit buyers who need discrete graphics performance or internal expansion slots for add-in cards.

Questions about this item

Will the 32 GB DDR4 memory work with the 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 processor already installed?

Yes, the system ships with 32 GB DDR4 UDIMM matched to the Intel Core i7-8700 processor, so the existing memory is fully compatible.

How do I verify the 128 GB M.2 SSD and 1 TB hard drive are both recognised after first boot?

Open File Explorer or Disk Management in Windows 11 Pro; both the 128 GB M.2 SSD and the 1 TB hard drive should appear as separate volumes with correct capacities.
