Compact business desktop with hexa-core i7

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny desktop PC packs an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor running at 3.20 GHz with turbo up to 4.60 GHz. It ships with 8 GB DDR4 memory, a 512 GB M.2 SSD plus a 1 TB SSD, and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. The micro form factor includes USB keyboard and mouse.

Sustained workloads on 65 W hexa-core CPU

The 65 W i7-8700 maintains 4.60 GHz boost across six cores and twelve threads for extended periods thanks to the tiny chassis thermal design. Intel UHD Graphics handles display output without a discrete card, while the dual SSD arrangement keeps the operating system and data on fast solid-state storage during long sessions.

Replaces tower workstations for space-constrained

This unit upgrades from larger desktop towers when desk footprint is the primary constraint and 8 GB DDR4 meets current workload demands. It is not for buyers who need more than 32 GB memory, discrete graphics performance, or internal expansion slots beyond the M.2 and 2.5-inch drive bays.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 65 W i7-8700 draw when the M720q runs continuously?

The processor is rated at 65 W, and the tiny chassis uses a 65 W power adapter, so sustained load stays within that envelope.

Which display cables must I supply to connect a monitor to the M720q?

The unit provides DisplayPort and HDMI outputs; you need a matching cable for the monitor you already own.

Will my existing DDR4 UDIMM modules fit the two slots in this Tiny desktop?

Yes, the board accepts standard DDR4 UDIMM up to 32 GB total, so your current sticks will work if they are DDR4.
