Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny is a micro form factor desktop built around an Intel Core i7-8700 processor with six cores and twelve threads running up to 4.60 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory, a 2.5-inch 128 GB solid state drive, and Windows 10 Pro pre-installed. A DVD-ROM drive, USB keyboard, and USB mouse are included in the box.

Office and light workloads

This system suits users who need a small, quiet PC for everyday office applications, web browsing, and video conferencing. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics and single 128 GB drive limit its appeal for creative professionals, gamers, or anyone who requires discrete graphics performance or large local storage capacity.

Memory headroom and storage limits

The 8 GB of installed DDR4 handles typical multitasking and document workloads comfortably, and the platform supports up to 32 GB for future expansion. The 128 GB SSD provides fast boot and application launch speeds but will fill quickly with media libraries, large project files, or multiple virtual machines, so additional storage will be needed for those uses.

Questions about this item

What monitor connection do I need on my display for the integrated Intel UHD Graphics output?

Use the DisplayPort or HDMI port on the rear of the Tiny chassis; the integrated graphics drive both without an add-in card.

Will my existing DDR4 UDIMM modules work if I want to expand the 8 GB up to the 32 GB supported maximum?

Yes — the board accepts standard DDR4 UDIMM sticks so compatible modules you already own can be added to the free slot.

How can I confirm the i7-8700 is reaching its 4.60 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager Performance tab while running a heavy task; the CPU frequency graph will show speeds up to 4.60 GHz when thermal headroom allows.
