Business desktop for everyday workloads

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a small-form-factor desktop built around an Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor running up to 4.10 GHz with 8 GB of DDR4 memory. It ships with a 128 GB M.2 solid-state drive for the operating system plus a 1 TB hard drive for bulk storage. Windows 10 Pro, a USB keyboard and a USB mouse are included, and a USB wireless dongle provides Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Office users and light productivity

This system suits office workers, students and home users who need a compact, quiet PC for web browsing, document editing, email and video conferencing. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles dual-display output and light media playback. Buyers who want more memory than 8 GB, a discrete graphics card for 3D work or gaming, or additional internal drive bays beyond the existing M.2 and 3.5-inch slots should look at larger chassis models.

Dual-drive storage configuration

The decisive specification is the combined 128 GB M.2 SSD and 1 TB hard drive, which separates the operating system from user data on a single machine. This layout gives fast boot and application launch from the solid-state portion while keeping ample capacity for files on the mechanical drive.

Questions about this item

Will the i5-8500 processor and Windows 10 Pro support my existing DDR4 memory if I add more later?

The system uses DDR4 UDIMM memory and supports up to 32 GB total. Your existing DDR4 modules will work if they match the 240-pin DIMM form factor.

Can I keep using my current monitor with the Intel UHD Graphics 630 output on this SFF desktop?

Yes, the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 provides standard video outputs compatible with most monitors via HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA depending on the specific port configuration.

How can I verify the 128 GB M.2 SSD and 1 TB hard drive are both recognised after first boot?

Open File Explorer or Disk Management in Windows 10 Pro. You should see two separate drives: a 128 GB boot drive and a 1 TB data drive, confirming the dual-drive setup is active.
