Pink Bluetooth speaker for outdoor listening

The pink Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 4 is a portable Bluetooth speaker built for people who want music by the pool, at the beach or in the shower. Its IP67 rating means it can be submerged in one metre of water for 30 minutes, resists dust and floats. The attached bungee loop lets you clip it to a bag or hook. It suits anyone needing a rugged, grab-and-go speaker for wet or dusty environments.

Outdoor Boost and Podcast modes shape the sound

A dedicated Outdoor Boost button raises the output to 87 dBC for open spaces, while the new Podcast Mode emphasises vocal clarity for spoken-word content. Pairing two Wonderboom 4 units enables true stereo playback with left and right channel separation. The 14-hour rechargeable battery supports a full day of listening between micro-USB charges. These modes and the pairing option change how the speaker performs in different settings.

86 dBC normal output decides if it fits your space

The speaker delivers a maximum sound level of 86 dBC in normal mode and 87 dBC with Outdoor Boost engaged. That output level is the single figure that tells you whether the Wonderboom 4 is loud enough for your intended use. Buyers who need higher volume for large gatherings or noisy job sites will find this speaker insufficient.

Questions about this item

Will the built-in lithium-ion battery be user-replaceable after it stops holding a charge?

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is sealed inside the IP67-rated enclosure and is not designed for user replacement.

During all-day playback at the 87 dBC outdoor boost level, does the driver thermal limit or the 14-hour battery run out first?

The rated 14-hour playtime applies to typical use; continuous outdoor boost at the higher 87 dBC output will drain the battery before any thermal limit is reached.

After running continuously for 14 hours, how hot does the enclosure get and does the fan spin louder?

There is no internal fan; the passive radiators and sealed design dissipate heat silently, so the speaker remains barely warm during a full 14-hour session.
