The adapter works with Windows, Mac OS, Linux and Chrome OS without requiring driver installation. It is built for users who need to access data from legacy or mixed-interface drives quickly.

Plug-and-Play Installation

The adapter operates on a plug-and-play basis with no driver needed for major operating systems. A dual-head IDE connector provides both 40-pin and 44-pin connections alongside a SATA III connector. An included 12V DC power supply is required for 3.5in drives and optical devices. An on/off switch allows safe power control before connecting or disconnecting drives.

Capacity and Transfer Headroom

The adapter supports drives with a capacity of up to 6 TB. USB 3.0 delivers transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps and remains backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports.
